This profile is the go-to for agricultural and commercial builds where budget efficiency, fast installation, and dependable performance are the priorities.
The corrugated / AG panel is the most widely used profile on farms and acreages across Alberta. Exposed fastener installation keeps labour costs low, and the 7/8″ corrugated profile sheds snow and water reliably on slopes as shallow as 3:12.
For commercial shops, warehouses, and light industrial buildings, corrugated panels offer quick installation at a lower cost per square foot than concealed fastener systems. Available in 26ga for added rigidity on larger spans.
Garages, sheds, pole barns, and secondary structures — this is the profile that gets the job done without overbuilding. The 29ga option keeps material costs down while still delivering a panel manufactured to the same coating standards as the rest of our lineup.
Ensure purlins or decking are clean, level, and fastened to spec. Install underlayment at eaves and any penetration points. On open purlin systems, confirm purlin spacing matches the gauge you’re running.
Start from one end of the building and snap a layout line to keep courses square. Overlap panels one corrugation on side laps and a minimum of 6″ on end laps, with sealant tape applied at end laps.
Drive exposed fasteners through the panel crowns into the purlin or decking below. Use neoprene-washered screws rated for metal roofing — do not overtighten. Space fasteners per wind zone and load requirements.
Install colour-matched ridge cap, eave trim, and rake trim to complete the system. Seal all penetrations. We supply matching trim cut to your dimensions as part of the same order.
26ga is thicker and more rigid — better suited for longer purlin spans, high snow load areas, or anywhere you want more structural stiffness. 29ga is lighter and lower cost, a common choice for sheds, pole barns, and secondary structures where spans are short and load requirements are modest. Both use the same Kynar 500 PVDF coating system.
Yes — corrugated / AG panels work on both roofs and walls. Running them vertically on wall applications is common on agricultural and commercial buildings. The same panel, same colour options, same order — making it easy to match roof and wall cladding in a single shipment.
Apply a continuous bead of butyl sealant tape across the full width of the panel at every end lap before overlapping the next sheet. Maintain a minimum 6″ end lap, and ensure the upper panel overlaps the lower. Proper lap direction and sealant are the two most common points of failure on exposed fastener systems.
Kynar 500 PVDF coatings typically carry a manufacturer’s paint warranty of 30–40 years against fading and chalking. Contact us for current warranty documentation on the gauge you’re ordering.
