The details that make it watertight.

Every transition, every edge, every penetration on a metal roof requires properly formed flashing and trim. We manufacture all of it in Edmonton — standard profiles and fully custom brake-formed pieces — colour-matched to your panels.

Every trim piece. One order.

All standard flashing and trim profiles are stocked and available with your panel order. Custom pieces are brake-formed to your spec — include a drawing or dimensions in your quote request.

Drip Edge

Directs water away from the fascia and into the eavestrough. Standard profile for all roofing systems — required at all eave terminations.
Eave termination

Ridge Cap

Caps the peak of the roof, covering the exposed panel ends and top seams. Available in standard and high-profile configurations to match your panel seam height.

Valley Flashing

W-profile valley flashing channels water from roof valleys. Critical waterproofing detail — must be installed before panels and extend under each panel edge.

Eave Trim

Finishes the leading edge of the panel at the eave, providing a clean starting point for panel installation and covering the closure strip or starter clip.

Gable Trim

Rakes trim along the sloped edge of the roof, covering the panel ends at the gable and providing a finished edge that keeps wind-driven rain out.

Headwall Flashing

Where a roof terminates against a vertical wall surface, headwall flashing directs water away from the wall-to-roof junction and prevents water entry at this critical transition.
Roof-to-wall transitions

Sidewall Flashing

Used where a roof runs parallel to and butts against a vertical wall — steps up the wall with each panel row to maintain a watertight seal along the entire wall-to-roof interface.

J-Channel & Z-Channel

Receiver channels for panel edges at openings, transitions, and wall terminations. J-channel for single-return applications, Z-channel for panel-over-panel transitions.

Custom brake-forming.

Standard profiles cover most situations. But every job has at least one detail that’s unique — a non-standard overhang depth, an unusual transition angle, a detail the architect drew that doesn’t match any stock profile.

We brake-form custom trim pieces to any spec, in any colour from our range. Send us a drawing, a sketch, or just dimensions and angles — we’ll quote it and include it in your panel order.

Custom pieces ship with your panels. Nothing arrives separately, nothing gets forgotten on a different delivery.

01

Send us your spec

A sketch, a drawing, or just dimensions and bend angles. Even a photo of an existing piece you need to replicate. We work from whatever you have.

02

We confirm and quote

We'll check the geometry, confirm the colour match, and include the custom pieces in your overall project quote within one business day.

03

Brake-formed to order

Custom trim is formed on our press brake in the same run as your panels — same steel, same coating batch, guaranteed colour match.

04

Ships with your panels

Everything arrives together. No separate deliveries, no missing pieces on installation day.

Matched to your panel system.

Each roofing profile has its own trim geometry — ridge caps sized for seam height, closures shaped for rib profiles. When you order trim with your panels, we match everything automatically.

Standing seam trim

Ridge caps in 1″, 1.5″, and 2″ heights to match your seam. Eave and gable trim with the correct leg lengths for concealed clip spacing. Headwall and sidewall flashing with panel-height offsets.

For: standing seam panels

Snap lock trim

Same profile family as standing seam trim, sized for snap lock seam heights. All pieces are brake-formed to the correct geometry for snap lock panel terminations.
For: snap lock panels

Flush panel trim

J-channel, Z-channel, inside and outside corners, and starter strips for flush panel wall cladding applications. Available in horizontal and vertical panel orientations.
For: flush wall panels & siding

Corrugated / R-Panel trim

Ridge caps, eave and gable trim sized for corrugated and R-Panel rib heights and coverage widths. Available in Phase 2 alongside the panel profiles.
For: corrugated & R-Panel (Phase 2)

Custom profile trim

If your project uses a non-standard profile, or if you need trim for a profile not listed here, we can brake-form to your specification. Send us the panel dimensions and we’ll design the matching trim geometry.
For: any panel profile

Siding & soffit trim

Starter strips, J-channel, Z-channel, inside and outside corners for board & batten and flush siding. Fascia cap and receiver channel for soffit installations.
For: siding & soffit panels

Same batch. Guaranteed match.

All trim and flashing is painted with the same Kynar 500 PVDF coating system as our panels — in the same 40+ colour range. Order trim with your panels and the colour match is guaranteed because they come off the line together.

Ordering trim later is possible but batch-to-batch variation in paint is a real risk with any manufacturer. Our recommendation is always to order your complete trim package with your panels.

Flashing & trim FAQs.

Do I need to order trim separately from my panels?
No — and you shouldn’t. The best approach is to include all your trim and flashing requirements in your initial panel order. This guarantees colour match, simplifies delivery, and means our team can review your trim list against your panel order to make sure nothing is missing. Ordering trim separately later introduces colour-match risk and requires a separate delivery.
For standard profiles — ridge cap, drip edge, eave and gable trim — you can estimate from your roof measurements: linear footage of each edge type plus 10% waste. For flashings and custom pieces, a roof plan with dimensions is the most reliable starting point. Send us your drawings and we’ll prepare a complete trim takeoff as part of your quote — it’s included for trade account customers at no charge.
The more detail the better, but we can work with almost anything — a dimensioned sketch, a CAD drawing, a photo of an existing piece, or even just a description of the profile with bend angles and leg lengths. If you’re unsure, send us what you have and we’ll come back with clarifying questions before quoting. Custom pieces are typically quoted within one business day.
There is a minimum lineal footage per custom profile — contact us for current minimums as they vary by profile complexity and material. For most residential and commercial projects, the required quantities are well above the minimum. If you have a very small custom requirement, we may be able to combine it with a standard profile run to meet the minimum.
We can get close in many cases — our 40+ colour range covers the most common metal roofing colours. However, an exact match to another manufacturer’s panels is not guaranteed due to differences in coating formulas and batch variation. If colour matching to an existing installation is critical, we recommend requesting a physical colour card and comparing it to your existing panels before ordering.
